Obituary of Stephen D. A. Palovich

Stephen D. A. Palovich, 76, Vintondale passed away January 22, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 27, 1947, in Johnstown the son of late Nick and Helen (Kosta) Palovich.  Survived by his wife of 52 years Darlene (Rummel) Palovich.  Children Jennifer Palovich and fiancé Eric Deitman, Stephen Palovich and wife Stephanie, Tanya Palovich-Scott and husband Joseph.  Grandchildren John Thomas Berkavich, Richard Wolford, Alexandria Berkavich-Patterson and husband Tyler, and Isabella Berkavich, Elliana Scott, Hannah Scott, and Olivia Scott.  Brothers and sisters Michael Palovich, Cynthia Kane, Naomi Ceresa, and Roger Palovich.  Best friends Mike and Janet Harasty. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Nicholas Palovich, and sisters Elaine Shestak, Sheila Shook and Deborah Woods.

Stephen was a proud US Navy Veteran and retired coal miner, and always a mechanic.  He enjoyed working in the woods, working with honeybees and his fruit orchard, and spending time with his best friend and soulmate, his wife.  Loved being with his grandchildren whom he adored.  Member of First Summit Church. 

A private service will be held at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh with private interment at Armagh Cemetery.
