Obituary of Sarah L. Rager
Sarah L. Rager, 86, Vintondale, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2024, at St. Andrew’s Village. Born July 19, 1937, in Colver she was the daughter of the late William and Charlotte (Mitchell) Cessna. Also preceded in death by husband Jack L. Rager, Sr. Grandsons Brad and Chad Adamsky and sister Marion Quynn.
Survived by children Debbie Adamsky, Vintondale; Lynn Michaels and husband Homer, Jr., Homer City; Jack Rager, Jr., Indiana; Barb Mayall, Hanover; Dianna Slagle, Hanover; and Jeff Rager, Vintondale. Grandchildren Shawn Michaels and wife Nikki; Matthew Michaels; Kelly Yerka; Joshua Stiffler, Christopher Stiffler, Jeremy Stiffler, Paul Rager and Amy Allen and husband Steven. Great-grandchildren Landon Adamsky, Shawn L., and Mya Michaels,Trevor, Tristyn and Taylor Yerka, Jaysen, Jordan, Reagan, Addison, Caydan, and Gage Stiffler. Sisters Beverly Disheart, Lancaster; Twila Coughlin and Debbie Filix, both of Ebensburg.
Sarah was a member of the Valley Grace Brethren Church, Armagh and enjoyed working with her hands doing a wide range of crafts especially sewing, quilting, and painting ceramics, eventually opening her own shop. Sarah also enjoyed playing the piano. She was a former beautician and worked for CYS. She most loved and cherished the time spent with her family.
Friends received 10 am till time-of-service noon Tuesday at Valley Grace Brethren Church, 11815 Rt 56 Hwy. E., Armagh. Pastor Terry Reese officiating. Private interment Armagh Cemetery.
