David & Jackie, I am very sorry to hear of you mom's passing but so glad I caught it in the paper. I wonder about her and had called a few times since mom passed to check on her. I use to call her while visiting mom so they could talk...they enjoyed each other so much. I always adored your mom and dad, they were the greatest. My prayers are with you and your families. Send an email if you ever get a chance. LinDHen@aol.com

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Mrs. Crissey. She was a wonderful teacher and a kind sweet lady. She was my only math teacher from 9th grade through 12th grade at Bishop Dunnne. I still use the FOIL method in binomial equations. God bless Mrs. Crissey.

Mrs. Crissey was an amazing teacher and person. She touched so many lives. Any one lucky enough to have had her as a teacher can attest to her gentle spirit. To this day, I can remember her telling stories about our text book writer, Mary Dolciani. I also lived in this same neighborhood as Mrs. Crissey and her husband and would pass the house with the PINK painted eaves and latice work everyday!!

Like many others here on this page, Ms. Chrissy was not only my Math teacher but also my homeroom teacher in 8th grade at Bishop Dunne. To have such a warm person every morning helped make my transition to a school where I knew nobody so much easier. As for Algebra II she helped me learn math more than anyone else and I saw A's in a subject I usually only made B's in. She was truly one of those great teachers in the world and I know that she had a positive impact on so many. I know that she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Crissey was one of the best teachers I EVER had! She made such an amazing impact on so many generations of Falcons. We were lucky to have been in her class. I also fondly remember playing doubles tennis with her at the OCCC on several occasions. It freaked me out at first to play against my algebra teacher, but she quickly put me at ease, and I realized what a fun and delightful person she was outside the classroom. She made a difference in many, many lives, and I will not forget her.

Mrs. Crissey was one my favorite teachers. How can someone make Algebra and Pre Cal so interesting? She was kind and patient and had a wonderful sense of humor. I would love when she'd come back tan after vacation and tell us of all the fun she had...mostly in Hawaii. My condolences and prayers to the family. She will be missed but she will forever be respected and loved.

Ms. Crissey was one of the few teachers that I still think of often. She was such a great lady and a very special teacher; she taught me a lot more than just math. She had a true love of her students and was always there to support us through the challenges of high school. I really enjoyed going back to visit her even after my life moved on from high school. The world was a better place with her in it. She (and all her family) will be in my prayers and memories.

Mrs. Crissey was a delightful person and one of the best math teachers I ever had at Bishop Dunne Catholic School then known as Bishop Dunne Catholic High School. Math wasn't my best subject. However, Mrs. Crissey was able to help me like none had before, and upon the "ah ha" moment the most pleasant smile was awarded from her to her students. God bless her family and my condolences.

I was fortunate to be one of Mrs. Crissey's students (Bishop Dunne Class of 1994) and I credit her for much of my success in math. She is one of the teachers who inspired me to become a teacher, and I have thought of her often and fondly over the years. To her family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope there is some comfort in the knowledge that she was a beautiful soul who touched many, many lives.

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a lovely lady and a great friend. We spent my great years as fellow employees of Bishop Dunne and many many more years enjoying our retirement years over breakfasts and playing "chickenfoot". She has been and will be missed.
