Obituary of Joan C Payne

Joan C. Payne, 86, Blairsville passed away June 20, 2024, at IRMC.  Born June 12, 1938, in Climax the daughter of late James and Vinnie (Penrose) Boring.  Also preceded in death by husband Boyd Thomas Payne, sisters Emma Burkett, Dora Henderson, and Janet Clawson, and brother Samuel Boring.

Survived by children Boyd Payne, Jr. and Eric Mitchell, Pittsburgh; Patricia Silk and Thomas, Homer City; Gregory Payne and Wendy, Blairsville.  Grandchildren Micheal Payne and Grace, Casey Payne, Samantha Krall and Lonnell Dewalt, and Matthew Krall. Great-grandchildren Amira Dewalt and Eli Payne.  Brothers Eugene Boring and wife Romayne, Harry Boring and wife Isabelle, both New Florence. 

Member of Little Church on the Hill (formerly Germany United Methodist Church) where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be 11 am Monday.  Pastor Paul Funk officiating.  Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
