Obituary of Grace L. Stephens

Grace Stephens, 95, Armagh passed away July 1, 2024, at Heritage Ridge Senior Living, Johnstown.  Born September 28, 1928, in Waterford, the daughter of late Hobart and Elda (Hofecker) McCauley.  Also preceded in death by husband Lester Keith Stephens, son Terry Lee Stephens, great-grandson Ryan Decker, and these brothers and sisters, Lawrence McCauley, Sr., Gladys Mae Irvin, Mary Czajkowski, Homer McCauley, Katherine Hixon, John McCauley, and Betty Jane Henry.

 

Survived by daughters Linda Rensko and husband Randy, Armagh; and Deborah Jo Thompson and husband John, Ruckersville, VA; grandchildren Robin Gratosky, Randy Rensko, Dawn Neyland, Shelia Stephens, Joshua Thompson, and Ethan Thompson, 7 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Grace was a retired employee of United High School where she worked in the cafeteria for 36 years.  She was a member of Armagh Methodist Church.

 

Grace enjoyed her time at Heritage Ridge Senior Care, joining the numerous daily activities and sitting on her corner chair by the elevator for the daily gathering of friends.  Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Heritage Ridge Senior Living for the care she received.  She will be greatly missed.

 

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Saturday.  Rev. Scott Hamley Officiating.  Interment Armagh Cemetery.
