Obituary of Russell Lyle Lindsey

Russell Lyle Lindsey, 89, Armagh passed away July 31, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown, born February 21, 1935, in E. Wheatfield Twp., the son of late Russell and Bertha Lindsey.  Also preceded in death by daughter Sandy Ream, great-grandson Jeremy Provias, brothers Raymond and Ronald Lindsey.

Survived by wife of 70 years Nancy (Stiles) Lindsey, children Russ Lindsey and wife Kathy, Armagh; Stephanie Barbus and fiancé Bob Koeber, Armagh; grandchildren Jennifer Provias, Michael Dennison, Ray Ann Tiede, Jeremy Dennison, Russell Lindsey, Linsey Forsythe, Nicholas Lindsey, and Amanda Lantz.  Numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Brothers and sisters Cecil Lindsey, New Florence; Thomas (Janet) Lindsey, Dunnellon, FL; Carol Clark, New Florence; Patricia Anthony, Kittanning; William (Audree) Lindsey, New Florence, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Lyle was a member of Bethel United Presbyterian Church and retired employee of Bethlehem Steel where he worked primarily in the Wire Mill.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and pitching horseshoes.  His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends received 2 pm till time of service 4 pm Saturday at Richard C Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E Philadelphia St, Armagh.  Interment Bethel Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Lyle’s name may be made to Bethel United Presbyterian Church 1354 Bethel Cemetery Rd., New Florence, PA 15944.
