Obituary of Samuel Barelich
Barelich, Samuel, 88, Cramer went to be with the Lord January 22, 2014 at The Atrium. Born October 19, 1925 in Johnstown the son of late John and Mary (Budash) Barelich. Also preceded in death by grandson Bryan West, sister Anne Kohlar and brothers John, Michael, Harry and Joseph Barelich. Survived by son Larry Barelich and wife Jean, daughter Marlene and husband Art Bucceri, daughter Darlene and husband Tom Mulligan, son Gary Barelich, daughter Christine and husband Kirk Fisher; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sam enjoyed sports in his youth, bowling in his mid-life and enjoyed his children always. He enlisted in the Navy in his senior year of High School in 1944 to take the place of his brother who remained to work on the farm, serving on the USS Stribling (DD 867), returning in 1946 to graduate high school after receiving the following medals for his service, American Theater Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 5 stars and WWII Victory Medal. He was a barber for over 55 years. The family would like to give a special thank you to The Atrium staff for all their smiles and tender loving care. His children were blessed to have such a great dad who will be greatly missed by all. Friends received from 2-7 PM Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where service will be held 11 am Saturday. Pastor Joseph Walls officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery. Military rite by local veterans organization.
