Obituary of Thomas Russell Fulcomer
Thomas Russell “Cup Cake” Fulcomer, 67, Bolivar, passed away March 8, 2014 at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital. Born August 4, 1946 in Johnstown, the son of the late Russell Thomas and Adda Ellen (Henderson) Fulcomer. Also preceded in death by sister Pamela Fulcomer. Survived by daughters: Tami Shafer, Bolivar; Ginger McKenzie & husband Brian, Seward; Penny Zimmerman & husband Michael, Shelocta; Kristy Fulcomer, Seward. Granddaughters Rachele Shafer; Haleigh Zimmerman, Sara Zimmerman, Olivia Zimmerman and Kapri Fulcomer; grandsons Micheal Zimmerman, Brock McKenzie and Bradyn McKenzie; sisters Linda Mitchell, Porter, IN and Darlene Fulcomer, Denver, CO; brother William Fulcomer, Bolivar. He served in the Army receiving expert sharpshooter badge and other awards during the Vietnam Era. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp and Johnstown America, Freight Car Division as a Welder. Member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 2635, First Church of Christ, West Bolivar; Charles Sutton American Legion Post 128, Bolivar. Tom enjoyed collecting materials for recycling and hanging out with his friends at the Coffee Cup. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence were service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, Chris Hopper officiating. Internment Fort Palmer Cemetery. Military rite by local veterans organization.
