Obituary of Joseph J. Orlando

Orlando, Joseph J., 79, Vintondale, went to be with the Lord March 13, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Born December 27, 1934 in Johnstown the son of late Anthony and Frances (Marguccio) Orlando. Also preceded in death by sisters Rosemary Maser and Dorothy Weaver. Survived by wife of 33 years Judy (Augustosky) Croyle Orlando; daughters Jacqueline Efrid, South Carolina; Kimberly Orlando, North Carolina; Melissa Lancaster, Indiana; step-children Barbara Bailey, Vintondale; Melissa Cherry, Blairsville; Diana Billow, Glen Mills; Scott Croyle, Pittsburgh; 5 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; and sister Nancy Weaver and brother-in-law “Chick” Weaver, Johnstown. Retired from PA Dept of Labor and Industry Unemployment Office in 1991. Former member of Belmont Vol. Fire Co. He was an avid reader and gardener who enjoyed growing garlic and was well known for his spaghetti sauce. The secret ingredient known only to him. Joe was also well known for telling jokes.
