Obituary of William H. Floyd
William Henry Floyd, 81, Homer City went to be with the Lord, March 28, 2014 at home. Born September 9, 1932 in Danielsville, GA the son of late Roy Malone and Francine (Martin) Floyd. He was a member of Indiana Church of Christ, F&AM Indiana-Franklin Lodge #313, and employed as a pipeline construction supervisor who also worked in the steel mills and coal mines in Pennsylvania along with being self employed. Bill enjoyed playing bingo, bird watching, NASCAR and various sports. Survived by wife Imogene (Reed) Lydic Floyd, Homer City; son Dan Floyd, Indiana; daughters Diana Floyd, Blairsville; Cindy Floyd, Homer City; step-sons Allan Lydic and companion Sylvia Laney, Cherry Tree; Joseph Lydic and wife Brenda, Pine Flats; Martin Lydic, Grismore; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Ann Biles, Arizona; Mary Scarboro, Georgia; brother Larry Jackson Floyd, Georgia. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by first wife Phyllis (Mitchell) Floyd; son William J. Floyd who passed away earlier on the same day; infant daughter Sara Floyd; half sister Lucille Phillips and brother Junior Floyd. The family extends sincere gratitude to Medi Home Hospice, Kevin Patterson, Debbi Pearce and their entire staff. At Bill’s request there will be no public service. Family assisted by Richard C.
