James, Helen Louise "Short", 82, New Florence died June 4, 2011 at Mountainview Specialty Care Center, Greensburg. Born January 6, 1929 in Greensburg the daughter of late E.K. and Bessie (Johns) Walker. Also preceded in death by husband Arthur H James Jr.; brothers Claire and Robert walker. Survived by children Sandra, Johnstown; Edward, Johnstown; Rod and wife Darla, Fairfield Twp.; Jen, Pittsburgh; grandchildren Jessica, Joshua and Jeremy; great-grandchildren Sheila Gustkey and Keagan James; sister Mary Jane Davis, Indiana, PA; various nieces and nephews. Member of New Florence United Methodist Church; worked for W.K. Trimble Manufacturing Co., New Florence; known for her sewing and baking; enjoyed playing the organ, bingo and cards and loved her cats. Friends received 5 till time of service 6 pm Monday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St, New Florence. Private inurnment Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Four Footed Friends, Indiana, or Action for Animals, Derry.
