Obituary of William James Muir

William James Muir, 63, Armagh went to be with the Lord on Friday June 10, 2011 at The Communities at Indian Haven. Born April 30, 1948 in Strangford the son of late Ellsworth Sr. and Carrie (Dunmire) Muir. Also preceded in death by wife Karen J (Hogue) Muir; brothers Fred, Ellsworth Jr. and Robert Muir and sister Betty Perry. Survived by sons Michael J and wife Jill, Armagh; Daniel W., New Florence; and Gregg T. and wife Holly of Durham, NC; grandchildren Mason, McKenna and Lizabeth Muir; brother of Harry, Blairsville; Sara Jane Boring, New Florence; Wayne New Carlisle, OH; Margaret Brown and Ralph, both Blairsville; Cathy Bowers, Robinson; also numerous nieces and nephews. US Marine Corps Veteran of Vietnam. Charter member of Penn View Mountain Hunting Club. Member of Squirrel Hill Hunting Club and Blairsville VFW Post 5821. PA Game Commission Hunter's Education Instructor. Avid Hunter and fisherman. Friends received 7-9 PM Monday and 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 East Philadelphia St., Armagh were serves will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Rusty McClurg officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery. Military rite by Blairsville VFW Post 5821.
