Obituary of Martha Estella Detwiler

Detwiler, Martha Estella, 82, New Florence passed away on June 1, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Born January 6, 1933 in Robinson she is the daughter of the late Harry Floyd and Clella (Fulcomer) Saxton. Also preceded in death by husband Lawrence B. Detwiler and sister Anna Mary Closson. Survived by children Alice Robson and husband Lyle, New Florence and Michael Detwiler and wife Nancy, Indiana. Grandchildren Mellissa Fox-Beacom, New Florence; Bradley Robson and wife Jen, New Florence; Chad Detwiler, Plum Township and Scott Detwiler, Altoona. Great-grandchildren Blaire Fox, Jacob Busay, Ivy Beacom, J.D. Beacom, Alyse Baker, Chris Robson and Nick Robson; sister Mae Kabasta, Waterport, NY. Martha retired from Lodestar Bus Lines were she was a school bus driver. She was a member of O.E.S, the former Ft. Ligonier Chapter 349 and now a member of Latrobe Chapter 221 where she was past Matron, she was also an avid bowler, Bingo player and was a member of her church bowling league and a member of the Laurel Valley Senior Center in New Florence. She was a member of Germany United Methodist Church and a member in the Willing Workers Class. Friends received 7-9 PM Wednesday and 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM Thursday at Kenneth A Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, PA 15944. Eastern Start Service Thursday 7:30 PM at funeral home. Funeral service will be held 11 AM Friday at Germany United Methodist Church, 15179 Route 259 Highway, New Florence. Rev. R Kenneth Keiper officiating. Internment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
