Obituary of Carol Gates

Gates, Carol Ann, 66, Armagh passed away August 19, 2015 at home. Born November 8, 1948 in Johnstown the daughter of late John and Helen (Mroczka) Helenic. Survived by husband of 47 years Roger D. Gates; son Roger A. Gates and wife Brenda, Latrobe; grandchildren Amber Gates and Cory Gates, both of Latrobe; brothers Edward Helenic, Johnstown; John Helenic and Sandy, Armagh; Thomas Helenic, Armagh; nieces Lee Ann Badzik, Ernest; Sheila Hart, South Carolina; Salli Helenic, Armagh; great-niece Marissa; great-nephews Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Ethan, Hunter and Steven. Carol was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward where she served as a Eucharistic Minister along with several other groups in the church and community. She was a proud mother, grandmother and aunt who enjoyed spending time with her family and other people. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Rev. Robert Washko officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery.
