Balencic, Mary Catherine, 84, New Florence, passed away February 6, 2016 at Cambria Care Center, Born March 25, 1931 in Johnstown the daughter of the late Stephen George and Anna (Tice) Voytko. Also preceded in death by daughter Theresa; sisters Ethel Gorchesky and Eleanor Voytko; brother Daniel Voytko. Survived by husband of 64 years, Stephen L. Balencic; Her 10 children who she was extremely proud of Randy Balencic and wife Dorie (Flickinger), Indian Head, MD; Gregory Balencic and wife Patty (O'Shell); Brian Balencic and Gary Balencic, all of New Florence; Jeffrey Balencic and wife Gina (Gamble), Indiana; Anna Marie Thomas, Johnstown; Stephen G. Balencic and wife Laurie (Simpson), New Florence; Christine Miklos and husband Gary, Johnstown; Renee Henderson, New Florence; grandchildren Dr. Jordan Balencic, Brad Balencic, Bethany Balencic, Jessica Thomas, Jennifer Thomas, Hannah Miklos, Brock Henderson, Brent Henderson, Ellen Trimble, Eli Trimble, Sarah Trimble; two great-grandchildren; sister Patricia Bozak, Altoona. Mary was a very outgoing person who was always willing to help others. Her life was dedicated to the love and serving of family and friends. Mary was a strong pro-life supporter and once attended the March for Life in Washington, DC with her son Stephen. Mary was a longtime member of Holy Family Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 AM. Father Robert Washko celebrant.
