Obituary of William J Hritz
Hritz, William J., 82, Clyde, passed away April 3, 2016 at Beacon Ridge in Indiana, PA. The son of the late Stephen and Mary (Zahurak) Hritz, Bill was born and raised in the Woodvale section of Johnstown, PA. Bill learned to play the accordion at an early age and became a talented musician, playing for family, friends and the public. He married the love of his life, Cecilia (Toman) Hritz, on August 24, 1957. They continued to enjoy and share Bill's passion for music until she sadly passed away on November 19, 2009. Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a retired coal miner from R&P Coal Co. He is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Anderson, son, William Hritz, daughter-in-law, Karen Hritz, grandchildren, Aaron Anderson, Sarah Hritz and Emily Hritz, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Bill was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Charles Hritz, Stephen Hritz Jr., infant brother, Francis Hritz, Anna Gomulka, Catherine Orlikowski, Bertha Sharp and Sister Mary Pauline, ADP. Friends and family will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 8, at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia Street, Armagh, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, April 9, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward, PA with Rev. Robert Washko officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Road, Indiana, PA 15701.
