Obituary of Doris Marie Colson

Colson, Doris Marie (Custer), 71, Seward passed away April 5, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 17, 1944 in Johnstown the daughter of late Edward G. and Mildred Grace (Muir) Custer. Survived by loving husband of 51 years John Colson; children Sherry Lichtenfels and husband George, Seward; Johnny Colson, Seward; Edward Colson and wife Holly, Seward; Robert Colson and wife Stacy, Clyde; grandchildren Brody, Tressa, Jonathon, Josh, Chad, Drew, Austin, Ana, Isaac, Hanna, Payton and Bryce; special sister Faye Clark and husband Pat, Seward; brother Barry Custer; sister-in-law Linda Custer; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and extended family; best friend Jennifer Banko and her loving pets. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother Harold "Bud" Custer; twin infant sisters; sister-in-law Iona "Sis" Custer. Doris will be remembered for her loving nature, beautiful blue eyes and smiles, beautiful flower gardens and delicious home cooking and baking. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for all of her grandchildren, loved listening to George Jones and was the glue that holds the family together. Friends received 1pm till time of service 2:30 pm Saturday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. Pastor Joseph Walls officiating.
