Obituary of Bessie Almeda Baird

Baird, Bessie A., 96, Bolivar, died July 29, 2011 at the Bethlen Home, Ligonier. Born June 16, 1915 in Robinson the daughter of late Fredrick and Carrie (Pipper) Shetler. Also preceded in death by husband Thomas W. Biard; and these brothers and sisters, Frank and Paul Shetler, Helen (Shetler) Clark, Bert, Leroy, Fred and Wilber Shetler, Pearl Pease and Earl Pease. Survived by children Cleo (Baird) McClure and husband Earl, Belle Vernon; Darlene (Baird) Mehalic, Riverview, Fl; Thomas Wayne Baird, Clarksburg; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Life-time member of Duane Boring VFW Post 9310 Ladies Aux., Robinson. Friends received 4-8 pm Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 am Monday. Interment Bethel Cemetery. Bessie's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Bethlen Home for all the care, support and love that she received.
