Patty for many years was a dear friend. She was always entertaining, told hilarious stories, and treated me like family. She was a fundamental person in my early years. I have always admired her resilience, her humor, her grit and her sass. We had so many wonderful times together, even just simple stuff like our many walks around the block, sitting on the porch laughing about tv shows, or reading magazines together in the living room during winter months. I loved her so much. She will always be, to me, an amazing overcomer. I mourn with her family, especially her kids and grandkids and I celebrate the fact that she is home with Jesus.
