Obituary of Dennis P Garland

Garland, Dennis P., 71, Bolivar died August 18, 2011 at home. Born October 21, 1939 in Bolivar the son of late Arthur C. and Florence (Forsythe) Garland. Also Preceded in death by brother Arthur Lee Garland. Survived by wife of 50 years Nancy (Bartow) Garland; children Rick Garland and wife Chris (Steiner), Bolivar; Teresa Krouse and husband Bob, Robinson; Doug Garland, McDonough, GA; Barry Garland and wife Dana (Robertson), 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Bolivar; brother of Gary Lane Garland and wife Wanda, Bolivar; Robin Sorbin and husband Doug, Homer City; Luck Garland and wife Sherry, Bolivar; sister-in-law Sandy Garland, Robinson. Denny was a loving husband, father and Pappy. He was a retired truck driver and member of Teamster Local 110. Social member of American Legion Post 128, Bolivar and VFW Post 9310, Robinson. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Former president of the Bolivar Snake Club. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 am Monday. Pastor Michael Airgood officiating.
