Obituary of Ella A McElwee

Ella A. McElwee, 71, Strongstown died August 25, 2011 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born November 9, 1939 in Indiana the daughter of late Harold and Ella Mae (Stiles) McLain. Also preceded in death by son Anthony Mitchell Moore Sr.; sister Olive Gardener; brothers Harold and Howard McLain. Survived by husband Charles McElwee; sons Jesse Moore Jr. and wife Kathy, Northern Cambria; Steve Moore and fianc Julie, Penn Run; daughters Carol Reese and Barbara Hockenberry and husband Greg, both Indiana; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family members. Retired C.N.A. from St. Andrew's Village where she gave comfort to many. Diehard Steelers and Penn State Fan. Enjoyed fishing, horse shoes and NASCAR. Friends received 6-8 pm Friday and 1 till time of service 4 pm Saturday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh. Pastor James Whited.
