Obituary of Carmela M. Bloom

Bloom, Carmela M., 96, New Florence, passed away December 7, 2016, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born January 14, 1920 in Frostburg, the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary Kathryn (Adams) Ananea. Also, preceded in death by husband Guy T. Bloom, Jr.; son Joseph E. Bloom; brothers Ben, Frank, Jess, Philip, Anthony, Joseph, and Ross Ananea; sisters Anna Louise Ananea and Rose Clark; infant brother Johnny Ananea. Survived by children David Bloom and friend Regina, New Florence; Daniel Bloom and wife Marcia (Dalle Tezze); New Florence; Rita Boring and husband Arnold Boring, Jr., New Florence; grandchildren Heather Bloom; Dave Bloom; Hollie Short; Nikki Wisner; Troy Bloom; Jillian Wood; Jason Boring; Arnold Boring, III; Guy Boring; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Verba, Armagh. Carmela was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church participating in Altar Rosary Society, church choir, and Serenity of the blessed virgin. For many years she was a caretaker of the parish hall where she received a lot of help from the late Connie Parker, Connie Saltarelli and Verna Vrabel. She was a member of the Laurel Valley Sr. Center, New Florence where she was a member of the band chorus. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday at Holy Family Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward. Internment Armagh Cemetery.
