Shirley, We thank you for your Goodness and Mercy. When we moved to Indiana in 1967 you befriended us, you fed us, and when we needed you, you were at our door offering support. What a friend we had in you. Thanks

So sorry for the loss of Shirley. She was a wonderful friend of our family for many, many years and a special friend to my parents. We have so many happy memories. She had a quick wit and a way with a sideways look and a laugh. Dick and Shirley and my husband and I have the same anniversary date. My anniversary day always makes me think of them with a smile. She was a kind, good person She will be missed.

Dear Dick, We want you to know how very much you mean to us. We share a special closeness that can only come to friends who have remained true friends through so many seasons of their lives. We have seen a lot of changes though the years, but our friendship has never changed except to grow stronger. Actually you are more like family to us and we hope you feel the same. May God's love carry you through this difficult time and give you comfort and peace. We love you, Gene and Sherry

I recognize the name as someone, I knew about, met a few times, many years ago as a teenager. MY Father Joe Penza worked with "Dick Killen" @ Penelec. Many years we received Christmas cards from Dick & Shirley Killen. May Dick, and your family and friends find peace with your passing, as you touched many lives in one way or another.
Walk proudly amongst the clouds, and stars, look down lovingly on the family you left behind. And I hope your family will always treasure the days they share with you. God Bless your family and your soul and may there be peace until you are joined together once more.

Can you just imagine Shirley making her special Christmas cookies in Heaven! What a glorious day it must have been in Heaven when Shirley arrived! Many good memories come to mind when I reminisce about Shirley. She loved taking photos of Nancy, Brad, Jeremy and my son BJ from when they went to Story Hour to when they graduated from high school together. She always sent a card to many of our kids when they were in college. She continued sending me the church newsletter long after I moved to Florida. For so many years, I looked to Shirley as my second mother. She was always a very special person in my heart.

Shirley was a special person. Loved making her pumpkins, which she shared with children. Enjoyed baking cookies and polka music! Always a smile!
