Obituary of Beatrice E. LaCorte
LaCorte, Beatrice E (Cole) 85, Seward died January 10, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born January 5, 1926 in Seward the daughter of the late Francis A. "Shorty" Cole and Anna Mae (Rummell) Bouch-Cole. Also preceded in death by husband Anthony C. LaCorte in 1976 and grandsons David C. Cramer, Jr in 1969 and Brian A. LaCorte in 1994; and by special friend Henry T. Turcheck in 2009. Survived by children Patricia A. and husband Robert Freet, Willow Hill; Anthony R. and wife Judy (Marsh) LaCorte; Richland, (with whom she lived with since April); and Donna M. and husband David C. Cramer, Clyde. Granddaughters Michelle L. LaCorte, State College; Kimberly (Freet) and husband Francis Durnien, Tom's River, NJ; Sharon (Freet) and husband Robert Hockenberry, Willow Hill; and Stacy (Freet) and husband Patrick Beeler, Fannettsburg. Great-Grandchildren Trei and Rob Durnien, Tom's River, NJ; Tanner and Taylor Hockenberry, Willow Hill; and Alexandria Beeler, Fannettsburg. Also survived by Henry's family Rose and husband Wilbur Shirey, Seward; Linda and husband Dennis Pershing, Ligonier. Henry's grandchildren Heather Shirey, Heidi Rhodes and husband Don; Michelle Pershing. Great Grandsons Dustin and Andrew Rhodes. Special nieces and nephews, Monte Stiffler, Armagh; Gwen (Stiffler) and husband David Knight, Industry; Mary Fortini, Seward; Tommy Bouch and wife Rita, Seward and Shirley Ritnour, New Florence, and numerous others. Special neighbors Duck and Dell Stanton; and Mike and Marilyn Howard. Was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Also preceded in death by brothers Albert Bouch; Doss Bouch; Tom Bouch; Pete Bouch and infant brother Delmonte Cole. Sisters Elsie Huey-Gates; Honey Huey-Baldwin and Betty Stiffler-Douds. Half sisters Mary Amos and Hazel Davis. Was a 1945 graduate of Armagh High School as valedictorian and was also a drum majorette. Formerly employed by W.T. Grants, Johnstown; Stiles Market, Seward and Riverside Market Bakery, Seward. Member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward and Armagh Senior Citizens. Known as Aunt Beatty, she loved to sing, read, cook, dance and loved family picnics. She was a people person, and she loved to be around family and friends. She was the best wife, mom, grandma and friend. She will be greatly missed and always loved and never forgotten. . Friends received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E.
