Obituary of Irene L Gibson

Gibson, Irene L., 98, formerly of Bolivar, went home to be with the Lord January 27, 2017 at Beacon Ridge Manor. Born November 9, 1918 in Lockport. Preceded in death by husband George W. Gibson; son William Grant Gibson; great-granddaughter Kelly Anne Rippey; sisters Gladys Sisitki and husband Joe, Helen McClure and husband Joe; brother Roy "Bud" Burkett. Survived by daughter Joyce Garverick and husband Willis, Avis; daughter-in-law Donna (James) Gibson, Bolivar; sister Jean (Burkett) Fisher and husband Bob; sister-in-law Betty Burkett; 3 granddaughters, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Irene was a member of the First Church of Christ in Bolivar and enjoyed the outdoors spending time with her husband hunting and fishing, and the time she spent with her friends having coffee and cookies. Friends received 2 pm till time of service at 3 pm Monday at First Church of Christ, 3049 Rt. 259, Bolivar, Christopher Hopper officiating. Internment Bolivar West View Cemetery.
