Thompson, Robert K., 59, New Florence, passed away January 29, 2017 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. Born September 21, 1957 in Kirksville, MO. Survived by father Kenneth and step-mother Barbara Thompson, Warrensburg, MO; wife Edna Mae (Galbraith) Thompson; sons Matthew R. and Jacob N., both at home; sisters Jean Van Egdom, Warrensburg, MO; Judi Mathes, Kirksville, MO; Heather Lockhart, Alton, IL; Amy Thompson, Warrensburg, MO; Cassandra Tippet, Peoria, IL; Jessica Tutterow, Brighton, IL; Andrew Thompson, Mesquite, TX; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Preceded in death by mother Dolores Ann (Kowlaski) Thompson and brother Frank Thompson. Bob was a carpenter who enjoyed woodworking and building many household items, spending time with his family and hunting. He was beloved by his family and will be sorely missed. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Friday Pastor Elton Blenden officiating. Interment Fort Palmer Cemetery.
