Obituary of Elsie J Garshnick

Garshnick, Elsie, 83, Gas Center passed away peacefully surrounded by her family October 5, 2011at home. Born October 7, 1927 in Johnstown the daughter of late Dwight and Helen (Gleissner) Mowery. Also preceded in death by husband Robert F. "Sonny" Garshnick; grandson Ricky Lee Garshnick; brothers Robert and Charles Mowery and sister Dorothy Rager. Survived by children Ron Garshnick and wife Judy (Clark), Brush Valley; Connie Spiaggi and husband Dave and Randy Garshnick and wife Bonitia (McClellan), all of Gas Center; grandchildren Jeff Garshnick and wife Melissa, Gas Center; Billie Jo Lamb and husband Jerry, Hershey; Jill Van Hoose and husband Doug and Lori Mountan and husband Rick all of Armagh; Jessie Garshnick and wife Kayla, Clyde; Eli Garshnick and wife Kayla, Gas Center; Randy Lee Garshnick, Florida; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Helen Boyer and Margaret Lucas, both Richland; brother Dwight Mowery Jr., Rockville, MD. Elsie loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, crocheting and her dogs. 1945 graduate of Greater Johnstown H.S. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday and Friday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 10 am Saturday with Rev. Horrace "Butch" Derr.
