Obituary of Eugene Boring

Boring, Harold Eugene "Skunk", 84, Johnstown formerly of New Florence passed away August 8, 2017 at home. Born March 5, 1933 in Huff the son of late Harold A. and Agnes Nora Boring. Also preceded in death by sisters Amy Critchfield, Shirley Stiffey and Janet McGinnis and brother Arnold Boring, Sr. Survived by wife of 64 years Patricia L. (Gehlmann) Boring, sisters Margaret Louise Waterhouse and husband Bernard, Seward; Gladys Shetler, New Florence; and nephew Greg Shetler and numerous other nieces and nephews. Also extended family members, "daughters" Carol Murray, and Kathy Adams and husband Jim; "grandchildren" Nicole Penton and Michael Adams; "great-grandchildren" Evie and Benjamin; special friend Edna and his beloved dog Benji. Skunk was a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp. in Johnstown and avid hunter who enjoyed camping. He will be missed for his sense of humor and laughter. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff and nurses of Heritage Home Hospice. Friends received 10 am till time of memorial service at 11 am Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St, New Florence with Rebecca Maser officiating. Future interment Bethel Cemetery.
