Obituary of Kathryn "Kay" G Geyer
Kathryn "Kay" G. Geyer Sbardella, 93, Indiana, formerly of Seward, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at IRMC with her loving family by her side. Born June 22, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of the late George and Agnes (Watson) Glessner; in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands John "Spud" Sbardella and Otto "Shim" Geyer; son-in-law, Theodore W. Glusko; brothers William and George Glessner; sisters Helen Luther, Lila Peters, and Maxine Powell. Kathryn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and caregiver. She was the matriarch of her family and very proud of all of them. She spent much of her life taking care of others. She worked for the former Penn Traffic Department stores as a cashier trainer and enjoyed crocheting, reading and helping others.
She is survived by her daughters Norma (Kells) Glusko, Seward and Bonnie (Geyer) Danks and son-in-law William, Sutherland Springs, TX; grandchildren, Theodore E. Glusko and wife Agatha (Gregory), State College; Tracy Hall and husband Paul, Seward; and Kimberly Glusko-Pfeil, Seward; William Danks Jr and wife Alma, Sutherland Springs, TX; Samuel Danks and wife Karen, Manistee, MI; great-grandchildren, Katie (Glusko) Sosnoskie and husband Merrit and Timothy Glusko and wife Emily (Schade); Brittany (Hall) Miller and husband Myers, Blairsville and Patrick Hall and fiancée Jessica Petro, Enola, PA; Megan (Pfeil) Widener and husband Brian, State College and Zachary Pfeil, Cresson; Alyssa Storm, Lansing, MI and Sara, Megan and Kevin Danks, Manistee, MI; great-great-grandchildren, Oliva Sosnoskie, Rosalyn Widener and Baby Miller; sister Jacqueline Benemati, Shreveport, LA and brother Wayne Glessner and wife Thomasine (Doyle) Greer, SC; sisters-in-law Dorothy Glessner, Johnstown, and Heidi Glessner, Indiana; Numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much.
