Obituary of Michael Joseph Haase

Haase, Michael J., Jr., 40 of Latrobe, died Thursday November 2, 2017 from a motorcycle accident in Gainesville, FL. He was born June 1, 1977 in Latrobe. Michael was the firstborn child of Michael, Hasse, Sr. and Cathy Haase-Furin. He was a former employee of Clayton Lumber Yard in Michigan. Mike will be greatly missed, he was a free spirit. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, playing his guitar around campfires, anything musical and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was always making people laugh, doing anything to make someone happy. Mikey enjoyed helping others in anyway he could. He was kind hearted and carefree. He was most proud of the time he spent with his children. Mikey is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Ted and Doris Haase, maternal grandparents Bill and Ginny Whitehead, Harry "Nip" Monnich, uncle Rev. Rick Haase and cousin Angie Haase, all formerly of Latrobe. Survived by his father Michael Haase, Sr. of Gainesville, FL; mother Cathy Haase-Furin of Bolivar; son Dylan J. Haase and daughter Ginny M. Haase and their mother Brenda Scheinder, all of Michigan; sisters Melissa Wynn and Mindy Haase both of Bolivar; Kelly Haase, Pittsburgh; nieces and nephew Paige Haase, Caity Wynn, David Zook and Emily Zook of Bolivar. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members and friends. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 AM Saturday. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Everyone is asked to dress in a colorful shirt and jeans. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the funeral home to help assist with the cost of Michael's final expenses.
