Obituary of Agnes Pauline Hughes
Hughes, Agnes Pauline, 94, Armagh passed away November 16, 2017 at St. Andrew's Village. Born October 5, 1923 in Altoona, the daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Yost) Grannas. Also preceded in death by husband John Howard Hughes; brothers Herman, Chester and Paul Grannas; sister Ruth Parks. Survived by sons David Hughes, Armagh; Wayne Hughes and wife Lisa, Penn Run. Member of Armagh United Methodist Church, where Agnes enjoyed time spent doing crafts with the ladies of the church. She was a former member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and sang with the Grannas Quartet Gospel Group. She was a good cake baker and known for her white boil icing. Friends received from noon till time of service 1 PM Monday at Armagh United Methodist Church, 570 W. Philadelphia St., Armagh, PA 15920. Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment Royer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be to Armagh United Methodist Church.
