Obituary of Ada J Barbus

Barbus, Ada J., 86, Robinson, passed away December 11, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. Born January 16, 1931 in Robinson, the daughter of the late John and Edith (Boyle) McDowell. Also preceded in death by husband Pete Barbus; grandsons Dave Gamble and Doug Robertson; 5 sisters and 2 brothers. Survived by daughters Sharon Gamble and husband Emerson, Blairsville; Shirley Robertson and husband Reagan, Armagh; son Duke and wife Jennifer, Climax Road; 8 grandchildren; 11great-grandchildren; sister Lesta Lichtenfels, Robinson. Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ada was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Robinson VFW Post 9310 Ladies Aux. and W. Wheatfield Twp. Election Board. She also worked for many years in the kitchen at Champion Lakes Golf Course and enjoyed her trips to the casino. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., and 10 am till time of service 11 am Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church, 6810 Rt. 22 Hwy. E., New Florence. Pastor Ryan Kobert officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
