Obituary of George C. Zimmerman

Zimmerman, George C., 62, New Florence, passed away January 21, 2018 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born October 27, 1955 in Ligonier the son of the late Charles "Slim" Zimmerman and Della M. (Muir) Zimmerman. Also preceded in death by father-in-law George Alvin Deemer. Survived by loving wife of 33 years, Barbara (Deemer) Zimmerman; Son Christopher Zimmerman, New Florence; sister Marie Boyle and husband James, Robinson; brother William J. Zimmerman, Bolivar; brothers-in-law Gary Deemer and wife LuAnn; David Deemer, both of Bolivar; sister-in-law Donna Deemer, Virginia; mother-in-law Connie Deemer, Bolivar; nieces Sheila Boyle, Jolene Boyle, Michelle Deemer; nephews Chad Deemer, Eric Deemer; as well as numerous aunts, cousins and extended family and faithful companions Annie and Stitch. George enjoyed spending his free time watching NASCAR, football, baseball, basketball and attending gun bashes with his son. Friends received Saturday from 1 PM till time of memorial service at 2 PM at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence. Pastor Sharon Hamley officiating.
