Obituary of Lyda Mary O'Shell

O'Shell, Lyda Mary "Babe", 88, New Florence died November 3, 2011 at home. Born October 21, 1923 in Fort Palmer the daughter of late Jess and Maryann (Snyder) Hofecker. Also preceded in death by husband James Warren O'Shell. Survived by children David O'Shell, New Florence; Patricia Balencic and husband Gregory, New Florence; Connie Gomez and husband Jerry, Littleton, CO; grandchildren Jordan Paul Balencic, Taryn Lee Gomez, and Theadora Renee Gomez; sister Sylvia Clark, Ligonier Twp. Dedicated loving mother and grandmother. Lifelong member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, New Florence and member of the women's group of New Florence known as the Scalawags. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 10 am Monday. Rev. Barry G. Young. Interment Fort Palmer Cemetery.
