Indeed, Mrs Young will be joining the heavenly choirs and will be welcomed with the statement, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” I have many memories of her guiding, directing, singing, and teaching Sunday School and VBS when I was a child (in the 1970s to early 80s). I had accepted Christ at such a very young age (before I was 5!), and as I went to Sunday School and learned more, I wanted to make sure I had “done it right.” I was 7 or 8 when I talked to her about being “really sure,” and she sat down with me and prayed with me, and I was at that point confident that it was “done right.” I cannot even begin to imagine the vast number of humans impacted by her faithfulness and love of the Lord, not only directly but the ripple effect as we have all gone on in our lives, with many sharing and growing and discipling, planting seeds and watering those that others planted.
I moved from Pennsylvania many years ago. My brother is local and sent me this notification. My deepest condolences and prayers for peace, joy, and good memories for the family and friends of this sweet woman. God bless you all.
In His love, Christine (Draksler) Abramo
