I'm so sorry to hear of Connie's passing. I never saw her without a smile on her face. As a little kid there weren't too many people who interacted with us like she did, teasing and always supportive to us all. I always chuckle when I think about the time she handed out "Ground Chuck" stickers from the Riverside meat department when we played football against Punxy...we won that game too! The community will miss her greatly. My deepest condolences to you all.

Fond memories are abundant from elementary school, with First Grade (1960) at the West Bolivar building and grades two (2) thru six (6) at the Bolivar Building on Lincoln Street. Classmate from Laurel Valley HS 1972 graduating class with a personality larger than life and sooooo much fun with her outspoken demeanor and "take charge" attitude. So sad for her health issues of recent years as she fought mightly for improvement that never materialized. May she rest in eternal peace amongst the angels in heaven.
God Speed, Chuck Altimus, LV Class of '72.

With the deepest of sympathies, my heart aches for your loss. YOUR MOTHER will forever be remembered as "ONE OF THE GOOD ONES"!!!! Ms. Connie was always ready to listen, lend a hand, and give the biggest hugs just to let you know that "she" loved you. We had the "coolest" moms in the United SD back in the day and you my friends... had one of the good ones. There are way too many memories and ALL of them good!!!! She will be missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know her. I for one will miss her dearly, as another one of my mom's friends has now gone to join to party in the heavens and reunite with all of the loved ones gone before.
LOVE AND PRAYERS, thoughts of comfort and strength over the next weeks to come.
Deana (AULT) McLaughlin

I talked to her very recently and I told her I can remember when I was a little kid she was around, and she always treated every kid like her own even if they weren't. We always had laughs when she was around and she was always nice to me. I remember some fun times at girl scouts. She would do anything for anyone even when she probably shouldn't. She was so very, very proud of all her kids and grandkids and would brag about them every chance she got (in a good way). She was upset she couldn't make it to a game the day before she passed away and was upset that she couldn't be there for pictures for her grandkids. She's left a big hole in the Krouse family, I'm sure, but also in this community. She will definitely be missed. She was so excited to see pictures from the day before she passed away, and it broke my heart that she never got to see them all but I'm glad she got to see a few. Someone told me though, now she can see them all! Very true she can be with you all, all the time now. Sencere condolences to you all!
