Lois and Family: I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Ken. I played for Ken for three years in the Johnstown Junior League and was part of the 1956 Hahn Packing team that played in the AAABA championship game with the Washington, D.C. team. Ken was not only a coach to our team, but a great mentor to all of us. Those years playing for Ken were wonderful and exciting years. Unfortunately, after our playing days were over we never had much chance to meet and catch up on what all of us were doing in our lives, except for the couple of reunions that we had. I never realized how talented and involved Ken was with all his endeavors. He definitely was a great man and I'm sure made a difference in the lives of many. He will be missed. Ken and you will be in my prayers. God Bless.

We are saddened to hear of Kenny's passing.
Some of my earliest memories of Bolivar include Ken.
We appreciate all his contributions to the fabric of our community. Especially his help in getting our Son into UPJ and the baseball program.
But mostly for just being a good man and neighbor.
Out little area is being changed every day and especially by the loss of such notables as Ken.
Regards,
Brad and Connie Foust

Lois and Family members,
The Altimus families extend our sincere condolences on the loss of Reverend Ken and as neighbors and hobbyist farmers. The memories are many as recalled during a span of approx. 65+ years, both in Bolivar and the farm property in Fairfield Township. Preacher Kenny's basic rules were easy to follow. Treat all people with kindness and respect, love God and keep The Faith, No Sunday Fishing (attend church instead), and one can never keep too many horses !!
May he rest easy in eternal peace with his extensive earthly accomplishment well performed and of benefit to so many.
God Bless.

Coach Keiper was a long-time member of the Pitt-Johnstown athletic department and a 2014 Pitt-Johnstown Athletics Hall of Fame inductee. The Pitt-Johnstotwn athletic department would like to extend our condolences to his wife Lois and the entire Keiper family. Coach Keiper was a terrific coach, a loyal employee, and most importantly a fantastic human being who was respected and loved by his players and co-workers.

I worked with Coach Keiper for years as the secretary in the athletic department at UPJ, and my husband, Doug, played baseball for him from 1971 to 1975. We both felt truly blessed to know him--he was a wonderful man that we looked up to. And he was fun to be around! Our condolences to the family.

I was so appreciative of both Rev. Keiper and Lois for coming to the funeral home visitation last month when Sam died. I was amazed that Rev. Keiper remembered me as a teen coming to his church to sing with Rick and I think George Kondor and Darcie Kisamore. It was so many years ago but he remembered. He was a man of God, a man of faith, well known and well loved.

My sincere condolences to Lois and the Keiper family. Kenny was a special person and special friend. Our friendship developed while we both served on the NCAA II
Baseball Committee. Kenny and I developed a good and enjoyable friendship having a lot in common. We were both faithful to Our Lord. High on our common pleasure list was our love for donuts. We made a habit of stopping at the Krispy Kreme in Montgomery almost every night after the NCAA championship games were finished for that day. When I called him each year at Christmas after we finished our terms on the Committee, we would laugh reminiscing about our "donut nights".
I pray God's blessing on this good man and his family.

Although we don’t know you personally please accept our deepest sympathy. You probably feel like the Psalmist at Psalms 119:28–“I weep with grief. My heart is heavy with sorrow. Encourage and cheer me with your words “. I Corinthians 15:26 says death is our enemy and it truly is. But Revelation 21:3&4 says there will be an end to death. May you be comforted by these words of Jesus. Prayerfully yours, John and Elaine

My brother, Donald Kemler, loved Rev. Keiper. He was always there for my brother in sick times, sad time, rough times, and good times. My brother loved the message that Rev. Keiper delivered. He brought Donnie closer to God than ever before. Rev. Keiper came when my dad was dying, and my dad’s own minister didn’t come. He was always supportive of our family. He was the greatest servant of the Lord. He got his wings on October 28. . . And he is happy and delighted in the light of the Lord. Rest in peace Rev. Keiper. Thank you for all your works here on earth. You were very special.

John and I want to send you our deepest condolences. Reverend Keiper married us in 1975. At that time, I didn't think much about God but I thought a lot of this loved one. I too, loved to hear him pray with the soft organ music. John and I now have a deep relationship with our God through faith in Jesus Christ and we now know that those who love God and accept his forgiveness through Christ will, as Rick has said, rest in true peace. He has touched many lives over the years and we thank God for your husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and want to extend our deepest sympathy to all of those who loved Reverend Keiper.

Nate and I were so very sad to hear of Rev. Keiper's passing. Rev. Keiper has always been such an important person in my life and he had helped "raise" me at Bolivar UM. Some of my most precious memories of living in Bolivar as a child took place inside that church. I can remember walking to church on Sunday mornings by myself. I loved going to church there. Rev Keiper married my husband and I and baptized both of our babies. What an amazing blessing to have him in all of our lives. We loved him and We love you Mrs. Keiper. Your family will be in our prayers.

Dear Lois and family,
My heart is so very sad for your loss. Reverand Keiper will be missed deeply. I will always remember his powerful morning prayers with the beautiful organ music playing softly as his words gripped the members so calmly. I pray that the love of so many who enjoyed his presence will somehow ease your sorrow.
